As a former classical musician, I can't really pinpoint an era that I prefer. Especially when it comes to classical music that many were from hundreds of years ago. I appreciate most genres of classical, rock, pop, country, reggae, swing, R&B, easy listening. And it spans so many decades from the 60's to today. Great category, I look forward to seeing what other videos are posted. I have a Chicago local band I'll try and post. They are actually mostly comedy songs they wrote. The band is called the Famous Brothers and I think they are hilarious.
Nope, can't figure out how to take the video from my computer and share it here. I tried copy/paste but nothing happens.

Looks like the standard of this forum is uploading from social sites, like I did with the Zepplin video from youtube. I imagine if you created your own youtube channel you can upload your video there and then load it here.

I'm listening only music from late 50' to early 90'.When Hawks fans talked about Justin Bieber in Hawks locker room few years ago I had to google his name to realize who the guy is.I am not able to name single one name of actual singer. Thanks god besides own media there are many radio stations here which play only music related to specific era/decade Thanks to these radio stations I even discovered some bands I didnt remember before like ie The Middle of the Road and Sally's special voice :

^^ sorry MJ. the video's not working for me.
anyways...i've always loved joni mitchell. she had a brain aneurysim in 2015...she went offmap for a while but recently i've seen her outand about on social media so that's good. she's76 now btw. this first video was likely one of her first. it was in 1965 and her name was joni anderson at the time. the second video is why i love her, she's such a talented storyteller.
edit: ask me next week who my favorite song/video/artist is and there's a good chance i'd post a different song but i'll never stray far from joni, james, neil or linda.

When most of the boys went down to the Rush street bars back in the late 70's and early 80's,me and a few buds went up to Lincoln Ave to hit 'Wise fools' and 'Kingston mines' to see the best in the business on weekends. GREAT video T-man,I saw most all of em live except SRV,I though I had plenty of time to do so but found out otherwise back in August of '90'. I went down to the Old Barn back in '79' when Muddy was slated to open for Eric Clapton and Muddy had assembled one of the greatest group of blues players for that show ever. Muddy,Pine top,Jr Wells,Willie Dixon and Johnny Winter(who I believe is the old dude seated in the vid)ripped the place to shreds to such an extent that Clapton would forgo an intermission to bring out his own band to just 'sit in' with that group......UNBELIEVABLE. I was in attendance at 'Kinston Mines' back in the summer of '79' because rumor had it the 'Stones' would show up after their Soldier field show to jam with Chicago Blues legend 'Lefty Dizz' but no soap...……….24 hours later Mick and Keith were poured out of a limo and went inside to do somethin like this..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3qfTk730Cw edit: I quoted the wrong post MJ but there's something I like about yours a LOT too!

Frank was my favorite saw him a couple times.. saw him at the park west in Chicago, Best concert venue ever. Also saw Stanley Clark there with Billy Cobham the Drummer. This Zoot Allures is one of his best solo’s imo.. but he had so many.. in my book the best guitarist I’ve ever heard.. and the greatest sense of humor.. 👍😜 Also wanted to add.. saw Zeppelin at the stadium..

Funny you say that, at the Park West concert I was at 3 of the 4 shows. Also I saw Zappa 17 times in my concert going career LOL. Also was at the Stanley Clarke concert. Also Chuck Magione concert there.

So glad to know that there are other Zappa fans here. I have always been like alone on an island with that. The majority of my Zappa music is on vinyl so I don't play those often. That's about 25 albums and 10 cd's. I have an original never opened Freak Out and Absolutly Free albums. 2nd ones, the first worn out. Also 2 each of Hot Rats and Fillmore, originals also worn down.

This is a video of Pete Special Band, a Chicago local R&B singer who had an amazing career and history. He grew up going to school with John Belushi, filled in briefly with "The Band", formed Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows, and had a regular Sunday night show at the Lyon's Den on the north side with his 8 piece band. This video is from Lyon's Den.

Some more local Chicago music. These guys are a hilarious comedy bluegrass trio named the Famous Brothers. Chicagoans may recognize the guy in the middle if you've ever watched Wild Chicago on WTTW channel 11.

The edmonton symphony orchestra played with procol harum on a live album back in the 70's. Likely the most recognizable song was "conquistador". a pretty good song in it's own right. turns out it was their best selling record. And that's today's useless trivia.
